Our history

Minitailer & Maxivan is a company that has been active since 1979 in the construction and repair of means of transport.
At that time, the company, made up of the father and three brothers, was mainly concerned with the construction of TRAILERS and SEMI-TRAILERS under its own brand VF.
The offer has expanded with all kinds of BODY CONSTRUCTIONS on truck chassis, as well as TRANSFORMATIONS and REPAIRS thereof.

After spending 10 years in the original buildings, we moved to our current address where we have an operated area of approximately 2500m².

Currently our company is made up of a young and dynamic team and it still employs 9 additional workers to this day.

Our company is equipped with a state-of-the-art brake bench and all the necessary measuring devices for ABS, EBS and ECAS.

Given the fierce competition, we went in search of a niche market in which the average trailer played the main role. With the arrival of the Eurovignette, however, this market weakened and we continued our research.

In 1998, on behalf of one of our clients, we entered the market for tractors and semi-trailers for BE licenses, which was very innovative in Belgium but which, in the Netherlands, was already a success. croissant.

After a period of ups and downs, to date we have already built more than 160 MINITRAILERS . We try to make this product better known through our presence at trade shows and during open days.

From the start, IVECO also believed in this concept and trusted us by granting us the right to build the exclusive Daily tractor for the Belgian market.

WHAT IS A MINITRAILER?

It is the combination of a tractor and a semi-trailer that meets BE driving license standards

This is a new type of transport for Belgium, where the BE driving license is essential. Thanks to this type of combination of a 3.5 t tractor. (driving license B) and a semi-trailer weighing more than 750 kg (driving license + E), we can transport loads with a larger volume and a weight now amounting to 8, 7 tonnes of MMA *(with IVECO tractor).
Without MINITRAILER, this type of transport requires a higher license!

Since everywhere there is talk of banning trucks from dense city centers, this is certainly an alternative where light vans with a B driving license are not enough.

Since all construction versions are in principle possible and a suitable MINITRAILER can be built for each part to be transported, we are convinced that this concept will appeal to the modern customer, and that in the future it will take more and more of importance.

VISION

The MINITRAILER can be compared to a truck weighing around 11 tons with a similar installation.

So: advantageous on purchase, insurance, taxes, maintenance and consumption with greater flexibility, multifunctional and better visual contact with the most vulnerable road users.

It can be equipped with a normal double rear door, a normal lifting tailgate or a movable tailgate.

The MINITRAILER can be used for the transport of packages, foodstuffs, cold or frozen products, clothing, machines, cars, in short, for everything that is currently transported by large truck but with the comfort and license of driving a pickup truck, and all with the added benefit of a tractor that can service multiple semi-trailers (loading one while the other is on the road). If you have a double cabin tractor, you can take 6 people.

Some Advantages
